How to keep a savings journal without confusing it with your bank balance
A practical PetaUita guide to avoided spending, money set aside, purchase pauses and personal versus shared goals.
What does PetaUita record?
PetaUita records spending you chose to skip. If making coffee at home avoided a purchase, enter your own estimate. The total is a journal of choices, not money held by PetaUita. The app does not connect to a bank, move money or verify that an amount was saved.
An estimate and money set aside are different
Example: you record ¥150 for coffee at home and ¥600 for bringing lunch. The journal shows ¥750 of estimated avoided spending. If you actually put ¥500 aside, record ¥500 separately. These numbers describe different things; PetaUita does not combine them into a bank balance. Use the currency and amounts that fit your situation.
How do I pause an impulse purchase?
Add the item and its expected price to the waiting list. It stays a decision to revisit, not a saving. You can enable a gentle reminder and decide later. The free version allows five waiting purchases at once; Pro removes this limit. The price of an item waiting in the list is not automatically added to your savings goal.
Can two people share a goal without sharing everything?
Yes. Together is a separate, optional space. Both people sign in with Apple and join the shared goal by invitation. Personal Today records remain personal. A widget adds to Together only when its destination is explicitly set to Together. Shared updates require internet and synchronization; there are no rankings or equal-contribution requirements.
What is free, and what needs Pro?
Personal entries, a shared goal, widgets, reminders, backups, weekly summaries and Square share cards are included free. The free app contains clearly labelled native ads and an optional rewarded ad for Story format in the current card session. Pro is a one-time purchase that removes ads and adds unlimited waiting purchases, month/year summaries, period comparisons and Story cards. Each partner has their own purchase entitlement.
How can I keep and restore my notebook?
Export a backup from the app and keep the file somewhere you control. Restore it using the app’s restore flow. Personal photos and records are stored on your device; Together is not a backup of the personal notebook. Ad privacy choices and account deletion are available in their respective settings. Read the privacy policy for the distinction between local records, shared records and advertising data.
Can I download it now?
The 1.0 build is prepared for the App Store, but the public listing is not live yet. This site shows preview screens with illustrative records. Japanese and English are supported; the app is designed for iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
